Creating Trees not Buildings

“Cradle to Cradle is like good gardening; it is not about “saving” the planet but about learning to thrive on it.”
― Michael Braungart,
Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things

Ok so we haven't started yet, but hear us out.

Nu Range will be building some of the most advanced, healthy, and environmentally conscious buildings on the planet. In order to do this we need to forget everything we currently know about buildings and begin to see something completely new and revolutionary.

In our developments we will incorporate industry disrupting environmental design, concepts, and materials. They will start with cradle to cradle architecture, which uses products that are safe, healthy, and designed to offer a positive restorative impact on the natural environment. This incorporates positive eco-effectiveness such as Zero VOCs and net zero waste. This design means that our buildings will survive beyond just their expected lifespan and use for a greater purpose.

The interior of our structures will follow the International WELL standards. WELL focuses on 10 concepts that are Equitable, Global, Evidence-based, Technically Robust, Customer-focused, and resilient. These concepts are air, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind, and community. These structures will actually nourish the occupants making them healthier, happier, and more connected to the natural world.

Beyond beautiful and nourishing, these structures will be smart and technologically advanced. Producing their own power, using reclaimed water, and creating closed loop feedback with its inhabitants is just the starting point. These buildings will have the ability to sense incoming weather and react accordingly using the natural weather patterns to maximize comfort and energy use.

Finally these structures will enhance the local community. Through several indoor and outdoor parks or green spaces we will strengthen our connections to the natural world as well as each other. Rooftop greenhouses will produce food for the residents while the excess can be donated to those in need. Universal free pubic access to clean water will be provided 24/7. Reducing parking needs and traffic the residence will have access to bike storage, scooter parking, electric charging stations and more.

These are not your normal buildings, they are more like a tree. They interact with the environment removing pollutants while providing healthy emissions. They provide shelter and habitat while enhancing the world around them.

Good Earth

The future of two family and single family homes is on the horizon. Good Earth homes will be constructed from shipping containers and will be among the most sustainable structures in the world. They will be designed with cradle to cradle construction in mind meaning they will be fully recyclable at the end of their lifespan. We plan to build them on pilons with no foundations, meaning when they are deconstructed it will be as if nothing was ever there. Oh and the best part, they will be affordable for everyone. No longer will sustainability be financially restrictive. For all and the planet, this is Good Earth.
